• About Us

  Vitex Packaging Group is a flexible packaging printer located in Suffolk, Virginia.  We started in the tea business in 1954 and have continued to service both large and small companies in North America and Internationally (Asia & the Middle East).  We have the capability of running up to 9 colors on several presses and have upgraded our plate-making, slitting and pouching capabilities which have allowed us to expand into the medical and pharmaceutical markets.  Recently, we introduced state-of-the-art vision systems and a proofreading system to enhance quality & consistency.

  Vitex has the technology, skills and resources to provide innovative, cost-effective packaging solutions to the medical, food and beverage contract manufacturing markets. We specialize in producing top quality, innovative packaging components for food and medical packaging and many of the world’s leading tea and coffee brands.

  We are a preferred and growing supplier to over 200 customers due to our speed of delivery, management of multiple SKUs, quality, consistency, customer service and technical support. Vitex is primarily a printer and pouch converter, but will source products and services where necessary to satisfy customer needs.

  Mike has 40 years of sales and marketing experience in the packaging industry. He worked for 20 years in sales and marketing for Reynolds Metals Flexible Packaging. He is extremely knowledgeable with all aspects of marketing and packaging products for tea, food, medical and pharmaceutical markets.

  Mary Jo brings over 30 years experience in the flexible packaging industry as a Development Engineer and Technical Sales. Experience in rotogravure, offset, flexo printing and laminating for various markets including medical, retort, food and beverage.

  Debbie came to Vitex in November 1981, working in the finishing department. In January of 1982, she transferred to the office as a receptionist. Throughout the years, she has held several office positions, her last being in Accounts Receivable before being awarded the position of Customer Service Coordinator in April 1988. Ten years later, in April 1998, she accepted the position of Customer Service Manager. Debbie is dedicated to servicing our customers and making sure their needs are being met.

  Michelle came to Vitex in July 1989. She started as the Accounts Payable Clerk, a position she held for eight years before moving over to Accounts Receivable and Payroll. She held that position for an additional eight years. After 16 years in the Accounting Department, Michelle was ready for a career change and was awarded the position of Customer Service Representative. Michelle’s number one focus is the customer, and she is very knowledgeable of all aspects of their accounts.
